HISTORY
David William Duchovny was born August 7, 1960 in New York City. He is the son of Amram Ducovny, a writer and Margaret, a teacher. He has two siblings, Daniel and Laurie Duchovny. He attended The Collegiate School For Boys in Manhattan, and then moved on to graduate from Princeton University. He also has a Master's degree in English Literature from Yale University and almost completed his Ph.D. (but quit before finishing his thesis, something his mother never really forgave him. Actually, now, every time she calls him, she asks him when is he going to finish his thesis, to which David answers 'Soon, soon' and laughs). The title of his senior thesis is The Schizophrenic Critique of Pure Reason in Beckett's Early Novels.
In 1993, Duchovny starred in the sci-fi series The X-Files as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder, a conspiracy theorist who believed his sister was abducted by aliens. This show rought fame and fortune to David's lovely little life. He remained with the series until quitting due to a contract dispute that occurred after season 7 finished filming, and because he said he didn't want to be remembered as Mulder and only Mulder, he wanted to show that he was capable of doing so much more. And that he did. However, he appeared in half of the season 8 episodes but did not appear in season 9 until the series finale in 2002.
During the run of The X-Files, he also made several appearances in the cult TV satire The Larry Sanders Show, playing himself but adding a strong homosexual attraction to Larry Sanders.
In 2000, he starred in the feature film Return to Me, a romantic movie. This movie sold more copies to the airline industry than any other single film in history.
He also provided the voice of Ethan Cole in the 2005 video game Area 51, as well as the title character "XIII" in the 2003 video game XIII.
In 2005, David, who had already made his directorial debut with an episode of The X-Files, wrote, directed and featured in House of D. The film starred Robin Williams and his wife Tea Leoni.
David was one of the first that confirmed the making of the second X-Files movie, on a television interview. And this happened in July 25th 2008. The X Files: I want to believe premiered. where Mulder and Scully are called back to duty by the FBI when a former priest claims to be receiving psychic visions pertaining to a kidnapped agent.
As for personal life, David married actress Téa Leoni on May 6, 1997. On April 24, 1999, she gave birth to a daughter, Madelaine West Duchovny. Their second child, a son, Kyd Miller Duchovny, was born June 15, 2002. Téa and David, after coming and going for a few years, divorced officially in October, 2008. But then again, they got back together after a while, but slip again in 2011. As of right now, it's not really possible to tell whether they are trying to work this out or nor. Things are... there. But David now lives in New York City, pressumably, alone.

RP SAMPLE
She had showed up in the middle of a rainy summer night in NYC, soaked wet and asking for some company and maybe some coffee. The kids were having a fun vacation time with their friends' families and she felt completely alone at the big Malibú house she lived in with their kids.
After he made sure she had changed into proper clothes, he tucked her into his bed. But the sight of a woman who had been there for him during his most difficult times broke his heart. "You look like you need some body warmth." He said, as he lied on bed, scooting closer and behind her, spooning her. He heard her letting out a long sigh. Feeling her hands over his providing warmth made him smile softly. He placed a tender kiss over her shoulder and pulled her closer. He knew this probably meant nothing. Or that he hoped.
Letting out a long sigh, he fell asleep, cuddled to his ex wife, who was caressing his hands and arms softly, to help him relax.
